The Rooty Hill High School debating teams are involved in debating competitions and workshops including:
Debaters are also offered the opportunity to trial for selection to represent the school in the Junior Legacy Public Speaking Award Competition and the Plain English Speaking Award Competition. School debating teams have had important learning experiences and victories over the last few years including two RHHS students selected as a part of the Western Sydney Zone Junior State Debating team in both 2014 and 2015. Any students who are interested in debating and would like to learn more are invited to attend the weekly lunchtime meetings with Ms Dolling. These meetings are held every Thursday during lunch in A001. Listen out for announcements on assembly, or speak to Ms Dolling in the English staff room to access the Google Classroom code.
